The INAP CS-1/CS-2 APIs provide the functionality for developing intelligent network applications. The INAP implementations follow the ITU standards. IntelliNet has developed the Accelero™ INAP CS-1 interface based on the Q.1218 specification and Accelero™ INAP CS-2 interface based on the Q.1228 specification. These user-friendly, versatile APIs have been used to develop SSP, IP, SCP, Enhanced Services Platform, Service Circuit Nodes and other custom applications.
 
The INAP suite of APIs comprises a class of functions for laying a range of Intelligent Network services over fixed line deployments. There are two phases of available capabilities:
 
INAP CS1 suite is compliant with ITU-T specification Q1218 (release 10/95) and is adapted to suit applications residing throughout the whole class of IN nodes such as SCP, SSP and IP (Intelligent Peripheral).
 
INAP CS2 offers excellent tools for existing IN players to seamlessly transit from a CS1-compliant element to a CS-2 capable entity. Newer players will find it useful for directly employing state-of-the-art applications in the market without losing backward compatibility with existing legacy deployments. The API suite complies with ITU-T recommendation Q1228 (09/97 release).
