Accelero™ JSTD-36 API
Accelero™ JSTD-36 API Datasheet
This API is key to both Location Based services (LBS) as well as E-911 emergency services. IntelliNet's JSTD solution is based on TIA/EIA recommendation IS-JSTD-036 (August 2000) for Enhanced Wireless Emergency Services (E-911 phase 2).
One of the first of its kind, the single API shelf has the capability to support required enhancements to ANSI-41 applications in North American networks as well as PCS 1900 of the European counterparts. JSTD-36 APIs will be particularly useful in:
- Upgrading conventional mobile switches (MSCs) to support Emergency Services Protocol (ESP)/ Location Services Protocol (LSP).
- Within ANSI networks, this will enable application developers to rapidly program and deploy applications to reside in newer network elements such as Mobile Position Centers (MPC) or Position Determining Entities (PDE).
- In the ITU domain, these convenient interfaces can be fruitfully exploited to put together GMLC (Gateway Mobile Location Center) / SMLC (Serving Mobile Location Center) -based service logic in time-critical fashion.
The Accelero™ JSTD-36 API protocol defines the messaging required to support information transfer to identify and locate wireless emergency services callers.
The J-STD-036 standard pertains to Emergency Location Information Delivery (ELID). ELID delivers the position (e.g., latitude and longitude) of an emergency services caller to the Emergency Services Provider. Additionally, ELID may deliver the identification of the caller’s base station, cell site, or sector. ELID may optionally deliver this information after an emergency services provider request during an emergency services call (ESC).
